Inch Buy Inch Hand-Painted Designs was originally founded by 2 teachers turned stay-at-home moms in 2001. Our husbands are both Marines and we went into business while stationed together in Oceanside, CA. Orders came, we went our separate ways and Liz decided to retire her paintbrushes. We’re still good friends with a lot in common from our crazy lifestyles on the move to the adventures in raising 4 young children.
My family went to live in the Mojave Desert for 2 years and then overseas to Japan for 3 years. We are currently living in Tampa, Florida and I plan to expand products now that we're back in the United States. I’m having a fabulous time going to real stores again and am planning to do some local shows now that I am able! My paints have trailed off canvas and onto glass lately. I’m into wine glasses- both painting and drinking a good red! I promise if you buy some I did not drink out of yours- I have my own!
I've had years to experiment with paints, woods, canvas, products and designs. I’ll paint on anything it seems from furniture to fingernails, sneakers to signs, murals to mirrors. Nothing is mass- produced and each piece is uniquely yours made by me in my kitchen during naptimes, after bedtime, and in high and low times!!!!
